Liking Lately

Have you heard of the app Quotiful?  It's a free app that you can use to put quotes on your pictures.  I kind of love it.  They have lots of quotes to choose from or you can enter your own.  You don't even have to use your own picture, they have backgrounds you can choose from too.  I used two of my images I previously posted to instagram and made the one above and below.  Quotiful is free in the app store.  I think I read about it in All You magazine.

I really like this on how to build the perfect wardrobe.

I'm wondering how these shoes from Old Navy will fit.  I love the idea of them but haven't seen them in real life.  They come in tons of colors and are under $20.

This post from bon appetit has some great snack ideas.  My snacks are never this fancy but I wish they were.  Scrambled Eggs, Avacado and Smoked Salmon?  Yes, please!

Liking Lately

I've been loving my leopard scarf lately.  Here are two ways I have worn it recently.

Despite the continued cold, I bought another pair of sandals.  Jonathan Adler designed a line for TOMS.  I love my TOMS and am so excited about these sandals. I keep hoping the weather will become warm enough to wear them.

I should probably wear this shirt all the time.  I used to call it hangry but now refer to it as hypoglycemic rage.  I tend to suffer from this if I haven't eaten in a few hours.  It's not good.

I'm Sorry For What I Said When I Was Hungry

Speaking of being hungry,  I made a new quinoa recipe the other day and loved it.  It was quinoa chili with kale (I left out the corn and replaced the kidney beans with black beans).  I'm no food blogger so here is a picture that doesn't do it justice.

I take pictures sometimes of what I eat for dinner on the nights my husband is at work and send to him.  He HATES stuff like this so I only eat it when he isn't around or has something else to eat.  I send him the pictures to show him what he is missing and he texts back with gagging noises.  It's just something we do.

Still on the topic of food, I try to eat as clean as possible.  I'd say I stick to the 80/20 rule of 80% clean eating and 20% not as good for you stuff.  However, after I read things like this I want to eat 100% non processed stuff.  It is scary the things companies are allowed to put in food.

Wish I Were Here Wednesday

I used to participate in a Wish I Were Here Wednesday link up.   I thought of that when I saw this picture.

Contemporary Patio by Brooklyn Interior Designers & Decorators LKID

This is a residence in Turks and Caicos.  I was lucky enough to have stopped in Turks and Caicos while on a Cruise a few years ago.  It is this beautiful.  I wish I could have a residence there and have it be just like this one!!

Warby Parker

I have seen a lot of bloggers post about and wear Warby Parker frames and have been wanting to check them out for myself.  I have a difficult time finding glasses (both prescription frames and sunglasses) since I have a smallish head and narrow face.  It is almost like I am in between kid sizes and adult sizes.

Warby Parker has a great website to search all of their prescription frames and sunglasses.   The prices are more affordable than the frames at my eye doctor's office and for every pair you buy they provide a pair to someone in need.  How great is that?  They just added new collections for spring and there are a ton of great sunglasses styles in the new Palm Canyon and Spring Collections.

You can pick 5 and they will send them to you to try on - for free!  I picked 4 frames for regular glasses and 1 pair of sunglasses to check out.  I had a difficult time choosing only 5 but went with the smallest sizes.

Here are the five Warby Parker frames I tried on:

I liked the sims and the clyde frames the best.  What do you think?

I was not compensated for this post - all opinions are my own.
