Friday Shopping Wish List: Chic and Comfortable Sandals

This post is inspired by a friend who is suffering from Plantar Fascitis.

"Plantar fasciitis (say "PLAN-ter fash-ee-EYE-tus") is the most common cause of heel pain. The plantar fascia is the flat band of tissue (ligament) that connects your heel bone to your toes. It supports the arch of your foot. If you strain your plantar fascia, it gets weak, swollen, and irritated (inflamed). Then your heel or the bottom of your foot hurts when you stand or walk." source:  webmd

Comfortable and supportive shoes are a must with this type of ailment.  No $2 flip flops or $7.50 sandals from Forever 21 (which I'm wearing now BTW) are going to help this cause.  It's particularly difficult to find a good supportive shoe in a flat sandal and have it look ok.  Since it is a thousand degrees outside sandals are a must.  I think there are some good options out there that will provide the arch support and cushioning needed but are still somewhat stylish.

I'm a big fan of Clarks sandals.  They have a few cute options.  I have a pair that I walked 9 miles in and lived to tell the tale.  They were just as comfortable as tennis shoes.
