Frugal Option: Rick Owens Leather Jacket

I've been obsessing over this Rick Owens Leather Jacket for months now and combing stores and online for a version in my price range.  A million celebrities (maybe an exaggeration - but it's a lot) have been seen wearing a version of a Rick Owens jacket or similar style.

I love the draped, oversize collar in a soft fabric combined with the tough leather jacket.

Frugal Options: Shearling Lined Boots

I've seen lots of shearling lined or accented boots lately that I have loved.  I guess I'm starting to obsess over these warm and cozy looking boots now because the weather is turning colder.

These Union Bay boots are a close look a like to a pair from Saks Fifth Avenue but for $1,000 less.

If you like a shorter version, these Kelly & Katie Boots are $64.95 and a similar look to the KORS Michael Kors Horwich which are $350 at Zappos.

Here are more shearling lined boots - All under $100:

Still Loving Turquoise

I got to thinking about my love for the color turquoise after writing Tuesday's post and remembering my turquoise hat that I begged for when I was little.  I still love all things turquoise and here are some of my most recent turquoise sightings:

One Skirt - Six Ways

In early October I fell in love with a skirt at Fossil.  It was a pricey $68.  I told myself I could only justify the cost if I wore it a lot.  Not just once like I do with many of my impulse buys, but I had to bring this skirt into my regular rotation if I bought it at full price.  I have had this problem of worn once impulse buys my entire life.  I remember at around age 11 or 12 my obsession with all things the color turquoise was at a high peak.  My room was turquoise, I had turquoise high top chucks and I wanted a turquoise hat.  My mom told me I would have to wear it everyday for her to buy it.  I promised her I would wear it every day.  I maybe wore the hat twice.  She still reminds me about that hat.   So in order to purchase this skirt, I decided I had to wear it in six different outfits (with things I already had) in the next six weeks and make it into a blog post.  It had to get more use than that hat!

Glittery Blush Dresses

I'm currently obsessed with Glittery Blush Dresses.  I love the sparkle, the sequins and the beading against the cream or blush (or even gold) color.

Anne Hathaway in Valentino

Lea Michele in Amy Packham

Amy Adams in Gucci

Since I have no where to wear fabulous gowns like these, I settled for a sequin blush tank from Old Navy.

You can really see a lot of the blush color of the tank in person.  Also, there is no beading on the back.  It will be my way of working a little sparkly glamour into my everyday wardrobe.
