The Boathouse - Traverse City, Michigan

While on our vacation to Michigan in early June, we had a fabulous lunch at The Boathouse on Old Mission Peninsula.  The restaurant is located right on the water of Bower's Harbor which is in West Grand Traverse Bay.  The Boathouse uses fresh and local ingredients when available and has a pretty contemporary menu.  I had a really hard time deciding what to eat because everything on the lunch menu sounded fantastic.  I decided on The Spinach Salad with grilled chicken.  The salad (besides the spinach and chicken) had granny smith apples which were sliced like matchsticks, goat cheese, beets and almonds with a vanilla vinaigrette. It was delicious!

It was a gorgeous day and we were able to sit out on the deck with a wonderful view of the water.

Check out The Boathouse's website Here.

Hard to see the beautiful view of the harbor beyond the table in this picture...but in person it was gorgeous.
