I have always thought that a beige color tone was very unflattering on many skin types (mine included). However, it appears to be quite the trend these days and these ladies below all look great despite all having different skin tones and hair color. What do you think?
no one was hurt in the 14 tornadoes we had across Indiana this week.
for my second Zentangle class tomorrow. I am really looking forward to it. Check out my friend Lara's etsy shop with some of her Zentangled Art. She is a certified Zentangle instructor and is teaching the class tomorrow.
It looks good for the price and is relatively heavy but it is HUGE! I know it is supposed to be oversized but this thing is big. I'm not sure where I can get a couple of links taken out of the band so it doesn't just slip right off my hand. Hopefully I can find somewhere because I really do like it!
I'm planning a long weekend trip to go to Traverse City, Michigan in June. Despite the fact that my Mom is from there, and I still have family there, I have not been in the area in over 10 years. I'm really excited to see the sites again and have some time off work. I wish I were there now! Although currently it is only 34 degrees and snowing there so I guess I will wait until June!
I posted two outfits back in February of Celebrities wearing flare leg jeans. It is such a popular post, and there are so many more cute looks with flare leg or wide leg jeans out there, I thought I would post some more.
Here are a few things I am grateful for this week.
I am grateful....
that the lettuce seeds I planted last Sunday have already started to come up! See the picture above. My sister told me it was easy to grow lettuce in a container inside and it could be something pretty to look at too. I thought it was only easy for her because she is very talented at all things kitchen and garden related. I have no talents in either of these areas. But I think she was right, this lettuce thing is easy even for me! Now let's see if it gets to the point where we can eat it!
for the beautiful weather yesterday and the opportunity to eat lunch outside with my sister in law. It was such a nice break in the day but so hard to go back to work for the rest of the day.
that I was able to sleep in until 7:30 today.
that I was never locked out of the house as a child as it appears the kids across the street are right now. Seriously, they just got home from school are pounding on their front door and yelling. What a mess!
I'm always thinking of how to decorate our bedroom. It is very boring now...we have never even painted it! Here are some great spaces, while not all would work in my room, I think that fantastic ideas could be taken from each.
via I love this use of space with the sloped ceiling. It makes great use of the space and it looks so cozy!
The Gap is having a sale on its online offerings, 30% off full price styles and an extra 15% off sale prices. I have found that things are usually further discounted in the store than they are online with the Gap. For example, I recently purchased a pair of pull on cargo skinny pants for less than the $19.99 they were marked down to because I had a coupon, yet they were still only marked down to $29.99 online. I found a few things currently online that look appealing but will try to get to the store to check out the price there before buying. Here is my wish list:
Asymmetrical ruffle-front top - This has been on my wish list forever - It is finally marked down to $19.99 from $54.50
Twisted Pleat Tee - Regular Price $29.99 (take 30% off)
